Riverfront Classic highlights Morgan State's 2002 Football Schedule

February 20, 2002

Morgan State University Director of Athletics Dr. David Thomas and new head football coach Donald Hill-Eley have released the 2002 football schedule. Highlighting the schedule will be a trip to the Riverfront Classic where the Bears will host the Rattlers of Florida A&M. The game will be played in Cincinnati's Paul Brown Stadium, home of the NFL Cincinnati Bengal. The game will mark only the second time Morgan and FAMU have played outside the State of Florida.

The 2002 Homecoming game is schedule for October 26th with Delaware State University providing the opposition. The Bears play five home games in Hughes Stadium starting with new opponent Monmouth College (NJ) on September 21st.

The Bears open the season against another first time opponent Gardner Webb on August 31st in Boiling Springs, North Carolina. The Bears travel cross-town to take-on local rival Towson University on Thursday evening, Sept. 5th at the newly renovated Minnegan Stadium. Non-conference opponent Morris Brown visits Hughes Stadium on Nov. 2nd. Along with the always-tough MEAC schedule the Bears will be prime for another exciting year of football.
