Four
HBCU Products Picked on First Day of NFL Draft

Four players who concluded their
careers at HBCUs have been selected in the first three rounds
of the NFL Draft.
Bethune-Cookman's Rashean Mathis and Tuskegee's
Drayton Florence were selected in the second round. Mathis was picked 39th overall
by the Jacksonville Jaguars and Florence was selected seven
slots
later by the San Diego Chargers.
The Chargers selected Arkansas-Pine Bluff's Courtney
Van Buren in the third round and the New York Giants picked Morgan
State tight end Vishante Shiancoe.
The Draft continues on Sunday with Cincinnati begining the
fourth round of selections with the 98th overall pick.
