Sets Press Conference To Name Head Football Coach
Comegy Rumored to Return

TUSKEGEE UNIVERSITY, AL - Amid rumors that Rick Comegy will
return, Tuskegee University has scheduled a press conference
to announce its Head Football Coach.
TU’s President, Dr. Benjamin F. Payton, met with the
University’s Search Committee Monday and quickly ended
the search for a new Head Football Coach.
Dr. Payton will formally name a new Head Football Coach Jan.
7 at a 10:30 a.m. news conference in the Tuskegee University
Kellogg Conference Center.
“I am delighted with the work of the Search Committee
and Interim Athletic Director Emmett Taylor and am extremely
delighted with our choice,” Payton said.
The Search Committee, which had its inaugural meeting Monday
to discuss several strong potential candidates, was dissolved
following discussions with the President. Payton and the selected
coach will both attend the press conference.
