Becomes First Female Football Official in MEAC

Conference (MEAC), becoming the first-ever female game official.
The Fort Lauderdale, FL native is a graduate of Dillard High
and received her BA Degree in English/Literature
from Florida State. She has been officiating football for over
10 years and last year she made her collegiate
debut on the Division III level.
When asked about becoming the first female to officiate a collegiate
game, Canady stated, “I really haven’t thought about
that point. I love the game of football and I just want to be
the best official possible.”
