Rattler 4X100 Crew Zips Into Friday Final
Florida A&M crew runs fifth fastest time in prelims

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (June 12) - The Florida A&M men's 4x100 meter relay
team captured a spot in the finals at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field
Championships, after running the fifth fastest time in Wednesday's preliminaries.
The quartet of James Amune, Sheldon Morant, Brent Mobley and Antwanare
Jones turned in a 39.59 on Wednesday in Heat Three of the preliminaries.
Friday's final is set for 10:10 p.m. Eastern Time (7:10 local time).
Meanwhile, senior Sheldon Morant just missed a spot in the finals of the
100 meter dash, turning in a 10.49 clocking in the semifinals Wednesday
evening. He missed the cut (the top nine) by .03 seconds.
Morant is scheduled to run in today's 200 meter dash semifinals which
begin at 9:45 p.m. Eastern Time (6:45 Eastern).
