Service for "Buddy" Taylor
set for July 5
July 1, 2003
Retired Winston-Salem State University athletic trainer and
assistant professor Henry Alvin "Buddy" Taylor will
be memorialized in Richmond, Saturday July 5, 2003. Taylor
passed on June 10 in Winston-Salem. He was 74.
Buddy Taylor
The Morgan State grad had an international reputation as an
athletic trainer, instructor, author and lecturer. Prior to
joining the staff at WSSU, he was an athletic trainer for the
U.S. Army as well as several U.S. Olympic teams. He was inducted
into the Athletic Trainers' Hall of Fame in 1981.
The family will receive friends beginning at 10:30 am at Scott's
Funeral Home, 115 E. Brookland Park Boulevard in Richmond.
The memorial service is scheduled to begin at 11:00 am.
