names Phillip Wallace head women's basketball and volleyball
coach

Miles College has named Phillip Wallace,
Jr. to lead the Women’s Basketball
and Volleyball programs into the 2004-2005 season. He succeeds Kimberly Pooler,
whose contract was not renewed.

Wallace comes to Miles from Andrew College (46-29) in Cuthbert, Georgia, where
he served as Head Men’s and Women’s Basketball coach. From 1999-2000,
he was Administrative Assistant at Cascade Elementary School. Wallace was Head
Women’s Basketball and Volleyball coach at Morris Brown College (49-30)
from 1996-99. He was the Head Women’s Basketball and Volleyball coach
at Savannah State University (105-38) from 1990-96.
A native of Savannah, Georgia, Wallace received his Bachelor of Science Degree
from Savannah State University in 1989 and completed his Master of Public Administration
at Savannah State in (1993).
Wallace is married to Sharon Wallace. They are the parents of one daughter,
Sha’ron (13), and one son, Phillip III (2).
