TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Florida A&M University released
its' 2004 football schedule, a lineup that
features four Division 1-A programs and four home games in Bragg Memorial Stadium.
FAMU will open the season with four straight road games, beginning September
4 at the University of Illinois.
The Rattlers will also travel to New Orleans to tangle with the Tulane Green
Wave on September 11 in the Louisiana Superdome; take on the Temple Owls in
Philadelphia on September 18 and close out the first month in Atlanta against
Tennessee State on September 25 in the Georgia Dome.
October will feature five playing dates for the Rattlers, with four at home
beginning October 2 against Virginia Union.
Nicholls (La.) State comes to town on October 9, then FAMU heads to Blacksburg,
Va., to take on Virginia Tech on October 16.
FAMU closes the month with two straight home games, October 23 against Savannah
(Ga.) State for homecoming, and October 30 against Florida Atlantic University.
The Ratttlers will close the schedule with two dates in November, the 25th
Florida Classic against Bethune-Cookman in Orlando, on November 20, followed
by a Thanksgiving weekend clash against Florida International University in
Miami.
