HBCUs place four on Walter Camp All-America Team

December 10, 2004

Four HBCU products have been named to the Walter Camp Div I-AA All-America Team. Tennessee State running back Charles Anthony was named to the offensive team. Nortolk State's Kevin Talley, Southern's Ahmad Treaudo and Hampton's Jerome Mathis made the defensive squad.

Talley is the first Spartan ever to be so honored by The Walter Camp Football Foundation, which only picks one All-American team (first-team offense, first-team defense). He is also the first NSU football player to receive a first-team All-American honor since receiver James Roe and quarterback Aaron Sparrow each earned multiple first-team honors in 1995.
