TUSCALOOSA, AL--- The Stillman baseball team will begin
the 2005 season with a new head coach. The Tigers will look

Crawford's professional experience in athletics includes
serving as a baseball instructor at the University of Florida
and Florida State University. He was also the head baseball
coach at Lurleen B. Wallace Junior College from 1988-1990.
Prior to coming to Stillman Crawford worked as a Physical
Education, Weight Training instructor and baseball coach at
Tuscaloosa County High School.
"We expect that Coach Crawford will be a good fit here because
he has good experience as a baseball coach, as well as having
a working knowledge about NCAA rules," said Greg Thompson,
Stillman's interim Athletic Director.
Crawford, who arrived on campus Wednesday morning, met with
college officials and student-athletes to solidify the 2005
schedule and roster.
"The first thing I have to do is bring some stability to
the team," Crawford said. I have to find enough players to
field a team and then the goal is to help the kids develop
and improve in baseball and in themselves."
