May 29,2005
Abilene, TX -- Lincoln (MO) University three-peated as NCAA Division II

Elmer Gray Stadium.
The Abilene Christian University men -- who won the title with 109 points,

title was ACU's 53rd overall national track and field championship.

points to 53 points for runner-up Cal State-Bakersfield. The ACU women finished
third with 45.50 points, while St. Augustine's was fourth with 42 points.
The Blue Tiger ladies from Jefferson City, MO won three events thanks to the
contributions of Olympic sprinter Shandria Brown. Brown, who is a 7-time national
champion in the 100 and 200m dash and 4x100-meter relay, captured the 100m
title, 200m crown and anchored the winning 4X100m relay team.
St. Augustine's picked up two national titles enroute their fourth place finish.

event.

of Rodney Coley, Sterling Gray, Dontrel Williams and Bolden took the 4X100m
relay title. The Golden Rams finished fifth overall with 40 points.
The HBCU workhorses of the meet were Lincoln's Decosma Wright and Morehouse's
Cameron Dayne.
After finishing second in the decathlon, which concluded on Thursday, Wright
came back Saturday to finish fourth in the 110m hurdles and run the anchor
leg on the Blue Tiger's second place 4X100m relay team. Lincoln finished just
ahead of Albany State in fourth place with 41.5 points.
Dayne picked up points in five separate events for the Maroon Tigers. The

the 200m dash, third in the long jump and sixth in the triple jump. He anchored
the Morehouse 4X100m relay team which finished sixth overall. Dayne personally
