Football Classic set for Charlotte

Greensboro, N.C. —North Carolina A&T
State University will play South Carolina State University
in the face-off of the season for the annual Nationwide Insurance
Rivalry Classic presented by McDonald’s, ALLTEL, Dodge
and Jeep on Nov. 20 at Memorial Stadium in Charlotte, N.C.
For 76 years these schools have gone head-to-head to win bragging rights and
claim the title, “Top Dog,” in this battle of the border. Thousands
of fans will gather to see if the N.C. A&T Aggies will make a comeback after
a 49-9 loss last year to the S.C. State Bulldogs.
This classic is a measure of the schools’ football programs and can define
a season of success or failure. Its outcome usually has championship implications,
which is key since the Aggies hold the 2003 MEAC title.
Tickets for the game are available in advance at all area Ticketmaster Outlets,
S.C. State and N.C. A&T ticket offices. Kick-off is set for 2:00 p.m.
The game will definitely not serve as sole entertainment attraction for fans
and followers of the schools. Several social affairs have been planned to revolve
around the main event. Listed after this release is a calendar of events surrounding
