Orlando Labor Day Classic moved to Virginia

(Orlando, FL) – The inaugural Orlando Labor Day Classic football game featuring
the Jackson State University Tigers and the Pirates of Hampton University originally
scheduled for Saturday, September 4, 2004 at the Citrus Bowl in Orlando, Fla.,
has been cancelled.
Due to Hurricane Frances, a collaborative decision was made by the two participating institutions, the City of Orlando, Orange County, Civil Authorities of Central Florida and the promoters of the event to cancel the Classic. However, the game between Hampton and Jackson State will still be played. The match-up is still slated for Saturday, September 4, but in Hampton, Va., at the Pirates’ Armstrong Stadium. Kickoff is also still set for 6 p.m.
Tickets for the Orlando Labor Day Classic are fully refundable. For more information about ticket refunds, fans, alumni and supporters should contact the agency where they purchased their tickets.
