Nedra Brown leaves LeMoyne-Owen for Kentucky
State

Frankfort, KY – Nedra Brown, a veteran coach in the
Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) has been
tabbed to lead the women’s volleyball program at Kentucky
State University.

Coach Brown has spent the past seven years
(1999-2005) at LeMoyne-Owen, as head softball and volleyball
coach. Coach Brown replaces Betsie Taylor, who compiled a 37-26
record in two seasons (2003-2004). In 2003 the Brettes won
the SIAC West Division Championship.
Coach Brown enjoyed significant success building the LeMoyne-Owen
Volleyball program. In 2000, she was voted Coach of the Year
by her peers in the SIAC.
Coach Brown says she enjoys shaping the lives of young people
and is very excited about becoming apart of the Thorobred family.
“KSU has always had a strong women’s volleyball
program and I’m looking forward to working with the returning
players, athletic staff and administration.” said Coach
Brown.
Coach Brown has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology from
LeMoyne-Owen (1995) and a Masters of Education Degree in School
Counseling from Freed-Hardeman (2005). For more information,
