SCSU Women’s Golf Coach Succumbs

ORANGEBURG, SC – James Keith Whittemore, women’s
golf coach at South Carolina State died Tuesday, June. 20,
2006 following a short illness.
Services for Whittemore, 52, will be held Thursday, June 22,
at 11:30 a.m. at Carolina Memorial Funeral Home, 7113 Rivers
Avenue, North Charleston, SC. Burial and committal services
will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. Friends may call from
the hours of 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service.
A Charleston native who made his home in Columbia, Whittemore
recently completed his first season as Lady Bulldog golf coach.
He attended Lander College and graduated from Georgia Southwestern
on a golf scholarship.
