Thirty-three HBCU players named Football
Gazette Preseason All-Americans
July 31, 2006
SIAC Player of the
Year Kevin Huff heads a group of 13 HBCU Division
II performers and Grambling wide receiver Henry
Tolbert leads a group of 20 Division I-AA players
named 2006 Preseason All-Americans by Don Hansen's
Football Gazette.
The D-2 HBCU contingent included seven players
from the CIAA, four from the SIAC and one each
from HBCU independent West Virginia State and
Winston Salem State. The I-AA representatives
included 13 players from the MEAC and seven
from the SWAC
This marks the 19th year Don Hansen’s
Football Gazette, a recognized authority on
small college
football, has selected NCAA Division II All-America
and Preseason All-America teams.
