Shaw Football releases 2008 Schedule

Raleigh, NC – Following an exciting year of success on the gridiron, the Shaw University Bears will kickoff the 2008 season on August 30th against Albany State University in Albany, Georgia.
 “The team and coaching staff are all excited about the new season," said Head Coach Darrell Asberry. "A couple of quality teams have been added to the schedule including Texas Southern University and Lincoln University; showing the level of advancement in our program. We will play in the Capital City Classic against Texas Southern in Sacramento, California which is an excellent opportunity for us that will provide increased exposure to our program and serve in a dual role for recruiting.”
The current reigning Champions of the CIAA will begin Spring Practice on Friday, March 7th at 4:00 p.m. at the Garner Road YMCA and Saturday, March 8th at 9:00 a.m. The Spring Game will be held April 5th; time and location will be announced.
