Wiley and Langston get preseason nods in Red River Conference basketball

The 2007-08 Preseason rankings for the Red River Athletics Conference (RRAC) have been released. Wiley College tops the men's preseason poll while Langston University was voted to the top spot in the women's poll.

Last season, Wiley finished the regular season with a 21-9 record and won their first ever RRAC Tournament championship. The Wildcats also qualified for its first NAIA National Tournament in 37 years, losing to Oklahoma City in the first round, 90-74.

Langston finished the 2006-07 season 26-3 and won the RRAC regular season title with an 18-0 conference record. The Lady Lions were upset in the conference tournament by Jarvis Christian but still earned a bid to the NAIA National Tournament where they reached the quarterfinals before losing to Cumberland (KY), 72-71.
