Fort Valley State announces its 2001 football schedule

Fort Valley State University recently released its 2001 footballschedule. The Wildcats will play eleven games, with six designated as homecontests. Seven games will count towards SIAC play.

Fort Valley State will open the 2001 season on the road againstMorehouse College on Aug. 25. Homecoming will be celebrated on Oct. 27when the Wildcats host Savannah State University.

The Wildcats will close the regular season on Nov. 10 against AlbanyState at the annual Fountain City Classic in Columbus, Ga.

Last season, the Wildcats finished with a 7-4 record and finishedsecond in the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference at 5-2.
