Central State University announces new women's volleyball coach

Central State University Athletics Director Theresa A. Check has selected Dennis Hale as interim coach for the Lady Marauders Volleyball team.

Hale was the boy's varsity volleyball coach last year at Chaminade-Julieane High School in Dayton, OH. At Chaminade-Julieane, Hale took a team that was 4-13 the previous year to the Regional Semifinals with a record of 19-4, He was name Coach of the Year for the NW Region and Co-coach of the Year for the Greater Catholic League.

Of his new position Hale said, " I've always wanted to coach on the collegiate level and I am very glad to get this opportunity."

Hale has also worked with the Dayton Juniors, a Junior Olympic team. He has numerous volleyball contacts among the many area Junior Olympic programs that he will utilize in his recruitment as he works to strengthen and build the CSU Volleyball program.
