 Tonya McKelvey-White | Head men's track coach Roy Thompson will assume the head coaching duties of the women's program in a new position as Director of Track and Field Operations. "We are sorry to see ,[McKelvey-White] leave," said Earl Hilton, assistant athletics director, "but we are excited to have Coach Thompson fill the position, and know he can bring his recent success with the men on the national level with him to the women's program." McKelvey-White is a 1994 graduate of Clemson University. During her collegiate career she was a three time NCAA All-American in the Long Jump, two-time ACC champion on the 4xl00-meter relay team, ACC Runner-up in the Long Jump and ACC champion in the Long Jump. She also competed for a slot on the 1996 Olympic team. Prior to coming to N.C. A&T, McKelvey-White developed 3 SEC champions, 3 NCAA qualifiers, 3 NCAA All-Americans, 1 Big East Champion, and 4 All Big East Performers. |
