Fort Valley State Takes SIAC Volleyball Title Lady Wildcats Win 14th Annual Championship CrownOctober 26, 2000 ALBANY, GA - Fort Valley State defeated Albany State to claim the 2000 SIAC Women's Volleyball title. The Lady Wildcats won in four games 15-1, 15-17, 15-4, 15-9, and finished the season with a 34-4 record. Albany State concluded its season at 21-14. An'Drea Long led the way for Fort Valley State with 21 kills and got help from Shemekia Williams who notched up kills. Christian Blackmon and Krystal McGlown of Albany State each had 14 kills to lead the runners up. Shemekia Williams of Fort Valley State was name the tournament's Most Valuable Player. Germaletta Dyson of Paine College was named the tournament's defensive specialist, and An'Drea Long of Fort Valley State won the Hustle Award.
