 Newsroom Index Becomea Booster  Front Page | Tennessee State and Nashville's NewsChannel 5 ink five-year dealAugust 4, 2000Tennessee State University and Nashville's NewsChannel 5 Network have signed a five-year deal for Television, Radio and Internet linkage for the TSU athletics program. Under the agreement the NewChannel5 Sports Network will air Tennessee State University football and basketball games on its newly acquired radio station NewsChannel5 Radio (formally known as WMAK -1430 AM), and will air TSU coach's shows in football and basketball on NewsChannel5 Plus (Nashville Intermedia Cable 50). On the Internet side, the NewsChannel5.com web site will display a banner directing traffic to the Tennessee State athletics web site (www.tsutigers.com).Scheduling for the 2000 season already includes the airing of a weekly TSU Coach's TV Show on NewsChannel 5 Plus, Monday nights at 10:00 p.m. and a weekly radio call-in show "Tiger Talk" on NewsChannel5 Radio (1430 AM), during the Tuesday drive-time, 4:00-5:00 p.m.
