The Bulldogs will play seven games in the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association and will face two opponents from the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) to round out their nine-game schedule. The Homecoming game against traditional rival Fayetteville State University will be held on October 30, 1999.
The Bulldogs will begin their nine-game season by hosting the first of four games at Bulldog Stadium in 1999, taking on PSAC rival Cheyney University. The Bulldogs will then take to the road for the next two weeks. They first play PSAC powerhouse Millersville University, then travel to Charlotte, NC, to take on Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association foe Johnson C. Smith University. Two-time CIAA champion Livingstone College will make the journey to Bowie on September 25, 1999, closing out play for the month.
In October, the Bulldogs will take to the road for two-consecutive contests. They face Virginia Union University on October 2, have a bye week on October 9, then travel to face Elizabeth City State University. The Bulldogs host their final two games of the season on consecutive weeks, facing North Carolina Central University and Fayetteville State University, and will finish the season the first week in November on the road against Virginia State University.
