| Savannah State Sets RecordsMarch 19, 2000The Savannah State University baseball team has broken the NCAA all-division single season consecutive win record. A doubleheader victory over the University of Maryland-Eastern Shore, today in Savannah, Georgia, gave the Tigers a 35-0 record. The victory eclipses the 23 year old record (34) set by the University of Texas in 1977. The Tigers already passed the Division II record (30) last week when they swept Tuskegee University in Tuskegee, Alabama. The previous Division II record was set by Kennesaw State University in 1998.
