CIAA and Div. II national champs headed to White House Celebration
The team, which earned the third Div. II national title in March for 27-year head coach Dave Robbins, will be at the White House Celebration of Black Music Month, to be held in the Indian Treaty Room of the Eisenhower Executive Office Building in Washington, D.C. This will mark the first time a VUU team has been invited to the White House after winning the national championship. The Eisenhower Executive Office Building is located next to the West Wing, and houses a majority of offices for White House staff. Originally built for the State, War and Navy Departments between 1871 and 1888, the EEOB is an impressive building that commands a unique position in both our national history and architectural heritage. © 2005 Azeez Communications, Inc. |
