MEN

CIAA PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
PLAYER
ANTHONY HILLIARD, 6-3, Jr., G, ECSU, Fayetteville, NC - Posted three double-doubles, averaging 20.6 ppg., 14.0 rpg., in wins over Chowan, SPC and VUU. Had 30 points and 18 boards in SPC win.
ROOKIE
HAYWARD FAIN, Fr., F, SAC, Akron, OH - Averaged 10 ppg., 4.5 rpg., and 2 spg., in two wins. He hit two free throws with 17 seconds left to lift Falcons over JCSU.
COACH
SHAWN WALKER, ECSU - Led Vikings to 3-0 week with road wins at Chowan and St. Paul's. Vikes have won five straight and nine of their last ten.

MEAC PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
PLAYER
TONY MURPHY, Sr., G, NSU, Paterson, NJ - Averaged 18.5 ppg. 4.5 rpg., and 3.0 apg. in 2-0 week. Against UMES he had 20 points on 7-of-12 shooting and had 17 in 26 mins. vs. SC State. Got 14 points in Monday win over WSSU.
ROOKIE
CARIO BENNETT, G, SCSU, Greenville, SC - Scored 9 of his 11 points in the closing minutes of a win over Howard. Had a team-high 15 points in a loss to Norfolk State.
DEFENSE
BOUBACAR COLY, 6-8, Sr., C, MSU, Senegal - Had 11 rebounds, 4 blocks vs. B-CU and 7 rebounds 2 blocks vs. Howard, both wins for 5th straight honor.

SIAC PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
KENNY BOYD, 6-8, Jr., C, MOREHOUSE, Meridian, MS - Averaged 14.3 ppg., 10.0 rpg. and 2.7 assists in three games.

LEON McKINNEY, MILES - Averaged 17.3 points, 7.3 rebounds in three games.
KENNY JONES, KSU - Averaged 15.5 points, 3.0 assists and 3.5 steals in two games.

SWAC PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
ANDREW HAYLES, 6-5, Jr., G, ALABAMA STATE, Mobile, AL - Led first-place Hornets in scoring in wins over Alcorn State and Southern getting 18 points in Saturday's win over Alcorn and 14 in Monday's win over Southern. Canned four of seven 3-pointers Monday.

INDEPENDENT PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
ROBBIE SIMPSON, 6-10, Jr., C, CHEYNEY, Louisville, KY - Helped Wolves to 2-0 week averagiing 18.5 points and 5.5 rebounds. Had 20 points, 5 blocks, 5 steals in win over Mansfield, 17 in win over West Chester. Shot 15 of 23, 65.2%
MARK STEWART, Sr., G, XAVIER - Hit five 3-pointers en route to game-high 25 points as the Gold Rush downed cross-town rival Dillard. Increased his school record to 267 threes. Steward four points in the final minute of OT in a key win over LSU-Shreveport.

WOMEN

CELESTE TRAHAN, 6-2, Sr., C, ECSU, Stockton, CA - Got 14 points and 13 rebounds vs. VUU. Needs 3 points for 2,000 career points (fourth ever male or female).
ROOKIE
TIFFANY HAYWOOD, 5-9, Fr., C, FSU, Fayetteville, NC - Scored a career-high 25 points in road win over Shaw. Has averaged 15.3 ppg., in last three games.
COACH
ERIC TUCKER, FSU - Has Lady Broncos on five-game winning streak including three road wins.

MEAC PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
PLAYER
SHALAMAR OAKLEY, Sr., G, CSU, Camden, NJ - Averaged 24.5 ppg., 4.5 rpg. in two wins shooting 20-of-25 (80%) from the field and 2-of-2 in treys. Had 24 in handing Hampton its first conference loss. Got 33 points, 8 assists in Mon. win over Howard.
ROOKIE
DEMETRIA FRANK, Fr., F, B-CU, Decatur, GA - Averaged 15 ppg., 9.5 rpg., in two games ­14 points, 13 boards vs. MSU, 16 points, 6 boards vs. DSU. Had team-high 14 points in loss Mon. to UMES.
DEFENSE
TA'WUANA COOK, So., G, NC A&T, Fayetteville, NC - Got a career-high 8 steals vs. WSSU with 3 rebounds.

SIAC PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
MATTIE JONES, Jr., C, KSU, Long Island, NY - Averaged 17.7 points, 13.3 rebounds with 4 assists and 15 blocks in three games.
BRITTANY MARION, Sr., C, MILES, Lithonia, GA - Averaged 11.8 points, 11.3 rebounds with 4 assists, 7 steals and nine blocks in four games.

SWAC PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
JAMELA LEWIS, 5-10, So., G, TSU, Missouri City, TX - Had 19 points, 7 rebounds in Monday's win over UAPB. She shot 4-of-4 from 3-point range and had 3 assists and 2 steals. In Saturday's win over MVSU, she totalled 20 points and 6 boards.
CANDICE THOMAS, 5-9, So., G, PRAIRIE VIEW, Waco, TX - Tossed in team-high 21 points in Saturday's win over UAPB and had 12 points in Monday's win over MVSU.

INDEPENDENT PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
STEPHANIE ORJI, 5-8, So., F, CHEYNEY, Philadelphia, PA - In 2-0 week, whe averaged 10.5 points and 8.5 rebounds getting 15 points, 7 rebounds vs. West Chester and six points, 10 rebounds vs. Mansfield.
DEBAUGHN HAILEY, 5-6, Jr., G, UDC, Camden, NJ - Tallied 19 points as the Lady Firebirds avenged an earlier loss to St. Augustine's.
JARRYN CLEAVES, XAVIER (La.) - Had 14 of her 19 points in the first half of a win over Dillard.
