CIAA PLAYERS OF THE YEAR
PLAYER
ANTHONY HILLIARD, Jr., G, ECSU, Fayetteville, NC - Led the league in both scoring (20.1 ppg.) and rebounding (11.1 rpg.) while shooting 49.9% from the floor. Also averaged 3.4 assists and shot 74.1% from the free throw line while finishing second in minutes played.
DEFENSIVE PLAYER
BRAD BYERSON, 6-7, Sr., F, VUU, Colonial Heights, VA - Finished third in the conference in rebounding (7.9) and blocks (1.25) while scoring 16.4 ppg.
ROOKIE
HAYWARD FAIN, 6-4, Fr., F, SAC, Akron, OH - Averaged 10.7 points and 5.5 rebounds.

MEAC PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
PLAYER
TYWAIN McKEE, 6-2, Sr., G, CSU, Philadelphia, PA - Averaged 17.5 points and 7.5 rebounds as Eagles' win streak reached six. Had 19 points and 12 rebounds vs. Hampton. Shot 48% from the field and 36% from long range, with 8 assists and 3 steals.

CARRIO BENNETT, 6-1, Sr., G, SCSU, Greenville, SC - In two wins, averaged 11.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, 3 assists.

KEITH FLOURNOY, 6-1, Jr., G, TUSKEGEE, Detroit, MI - Averaged 12.7 points, 6.0 assists and 3.3 steals in wins over Morehouse, Lane and Kentucky State.

SWAC PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
STANFORD SPEECH, 6-3, Sr., G, MVSU, Jackson, MS - Had game-highs of 19 points and 10 rebounds in win over Prairie View Monday and had 20 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists and 4 steals in Saturday's win over Texas Southern.
MICKELL GLADNESS, 6-11, Sr., F, AA&M, Sylacauga, AL - Had 12 points, 19 rebounds and 5 blocks in Saturday's win over Southern and came back to get 13 points, nine rebounds and six blocks in Monday's win over Alcorn State.

INDEPENDENT PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
JAMAL DURHAM, 6-6, Jr., F, WSSU, WInston-Salem, NC - Durham scored 17 points each in wins over MEAC contenders NC A&T (Sat.) and Norfolk State (Mon.). Over the two games, he shat 13 of 25 from the field and canned 5 of 8 free throws. He was 3 of 4 from behind the arc

CIAA PLAYERS OF THE YEAR
PLAYER and DEFENSIVE PLAYER
CELESTE TRAHAN - Led the conference in scoring (23.7 ppg.), rebounding (15.9 rpg.), field goal percentage (52.2%) and blocks (2.13 bpg.) while becoming the first woman in NCAA history to total 2,000 points and 1,500 rebounds for her career.
ROOKIE
ALLISON SIKES, 5-11, Fr., G/F, SAC, Richmond, VA - Averaged 10.1 points per game and 8.4 rebounds per game for the Lady Falcons.

MEAC PLAYERS OF THE WEEK

APRIL McBRIDE, 6-1, So., F, UMES, New Rochelle, NY - Averaged 21.5 points, 12 rebounds in two victories. Shot 58% (18 of 31), while scoring 16 points with 13 rebounds vs. NSU and had career-high 27 points, 11 rebounds vs. FAMU.

CHENA PARKER, 6-3, Fr., C, UMES, Poughkeepsie, NY - Shot 86% (12 of 14) en route to 26 points and 19 rebounds in two games. Had 8 points, 6 rebounds vs. NSU, 27 points, 11 rebounds vs. FAMU.
DEFENSE
LAMONA SMALLEY, 6-0, So., F, NC A&T, Phila., PA - 13 rebounds, 2 blocks, 2.5 steals in 2 games.

SIAC PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
SHANTRELL MOSS, 5-9, Grad., G/F, CAU, Ft. Lauderdale, FL - Averaged 23.6 points, 9.3 rebounds adn 3 steals in CAU wins over LOC, Miles and Ft. Valley State. She finished with 28 points and 8 rebounds vs. LOC.

CRYSTAL BENTON, Tuskegee - Averaged 26.0 points, 11.5 rebounds adn 2.5 steals in two games.

SWAC PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
REBEKKAH BARNES, 5-5, Sr., G, AA&M, Tampa, FL - Led the Lady Bulldogs to two wins averaging 17 points and 3.5 rebounds per game. Barnes had 17 points and 4 rebounds in Saturday's win over Southern and 17 points and three rebounds in Monday's win over Alcorn State.

INDEPENDENT PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
KENDRA APPLING, Jr., G, TENN. ST. - Scored a career-high 50 points (19-of-31 FGs, 6-of-10 3s, 6-of-7 FTs) in crucial win Saturday over Jacksonville State.
BRITTANY MINGO, 5-9, Jr., G, WVSU, Akron, OH -
Scored 26 points and pulled down 8 rebounds as 12th seed WVSU upset 6th seed Charleston 66-50 in the first round of the WVIAC Tournament.
DANIELLE JONES, CHEYNEY - Scored a career-high 28 points to lead the Lady Wolves over Kutztown guaranteeing a third-seed in the PSAC Tournament, the first tournament appearance for Cheyney since 1990.
