    Lamont M. Hinson has been named sports information director at Johnson C. Smith University effective January 2, 2009.

  • Morgan State's Guyton and Tuskegee's Atkinson named HSRN Players of the Year
    After 1,193 fans voted, the 2008 HSRN National Football Players of the Year voting is complete with Jarrell Guyton (Morgan State/LB) winning the Division I fan poll with 300 votes and Jacary Atkinson (Tuskegee/QB) taking the Division II poll with 416 votes.

    After serving as Virginia Union University's Sports Information Director for two years, Tiffani Sykes has resigned from the University effective January 5, 2009.

  • Kelly appointed Associate AD at St. Augustine's
    St. Augustine's College has announced the appointment of Kristene Kelly as Associate Athletic Director. The former sports information director at Johnson C. Smith will join the Falcon staff in January.
