| Alcorn State repeats as SWAC Men's Tennis Champion | ||

ALEXANDRIA, LA - Alcorn State breezed past Prairie View 4-0 in the finals of the SWAC Men's Tennis Championship to claim their second straight conference title. It was also the eighth overall for the Braves. With the win, the Braves earned the automatic bid to the NCAA tournament which will take place May 18-28. Alcorn State coach Anthony Dodgen earned SWAC Men's Coach of the Year honors. Freshman Garry Amor was named tournament MVP for the Braves. Fellow Braves Ernesto Santillan and Winfried Weinbeer also earned spots on the All-Tournament team along with Ronald Chidzikwe from Prairie View, Eduardo Luque from Arkansas-Pine Bluff and Bobby Bland from Alabama State.
