HBCU performers continued their medal quest in three events today at the 2012 Olympics.
The men's 4x400m relay team from the Bahamas with Chris Brown (Norfolk State) running the anchor leg advanced to the event final Friday afternoon.
Dayne Hyatt (St. Augustine's) ran the first leg for the 4x400m relay team from Jamaica but their fortunes ended when Jermaine Gonzales pulled up injured on the third leg.
Chandra Sturrup (Norfolk State) ran the second leg for the Bahamas in the women's 4x100m relay but the team failed to advance to the finals.
Jackson State sophomore Anaso Jobodwana (South Africa) finished eighth in the men's 200m final won by Usain Bolt.
