HBCU COACH OF THE YEAR:
MAJOR DIVISION COACH OF THE YEAR Brian Jenkins, Bethune-Cookman University Wildcats Coach Brian Jenkins led the Wildcats to an unblemished 8-0 MEAC record and 9-2 overall mark. The Wildcats edged out Florida A&M in the annual Florida Classic to seal its perfect record and the conference's automatic berth to the NCAA Division I (FCS) Championships. The Wildcats finished the season as the only ranked HBCU program in the Sports Network FCS College Football Poll (25) at No. 22
MID-MAJOR DIVISION COACH OF THE YEAR Connell Maynor, Winston-Salem State University Rams Coach Connel Maynor led the Rams to a second consecutive unanimous No. 1 ranking in Dr. Cavil’s HBCU Mid-Major Division Football Final Top 10 Poll Rankings, CIAA Football Championship, and NCAA Division II Championship Game Finalist (14-1), successfully transitioning the program from provisional NCAA Division I status to a Division II power, over the last three years, Coach Maynor is 35-4, including two NCAA semifinals game appearances and two NCAA Division I FCS wins during that period. The Rams finished the season as one of two ranked HBCU program in the AFCA Division II Coaches' Poll (25) at No. 2

MAJOR DIVISION PROGRAM OF THE YEAR Tennessee State University Tigers Coach Rod Reed led the Tigers to an 8-3 record, No. 1 ranking in Dr. Cavil’s HBCU Major Division Football Final Top 10 Poll Ranking, finish with three top five wins (3-0), wins over Arkansas Pine Bluff (No. 2; Major Division), Bethune-Cookman (No. 3; Major Division), and Jackson State (No. 4; Major Division) as well as (4-0) record against HBCU competition includes defeating unranked Florida A&M, finished first in the conference in total defense, 361.64; pass efficiency defense, 115.01 (8th HBCU Major Division Competition) *Minimum of three HBCU Major Division games
MID-MAJOR DIVISION PROGRAM OF THE YEAR Winston-Salem State University Rams A perfect season against HBCU football competition, 9-0, (18-0 last two years) and second consecutive unanimous No. 1 ranking in Dr. Cavil’s HBCU Mid-Major Division Football Final Top 10 poll ranking; while a chance at an undefeated season and a NCAA Division II Championship came to an end for the Winston-Salem State University Rams as they were defeated by Valdosta State Blazers, 35-7 in the NCAA Division II Championship Game in Florence, AL, the Rams became just the second HBCU program since Coach Billy Joe led the Central State Marauders in a loss to North Dakota State in 1983 to play for NCAA Division II Championship with a 14-1 (Most wins ever by a HBCU football program), surpassing their own 13-1 mark last season in 2011, and a 14-0 in conference play the last two season, with back-to-back CIAA Conference Championships
