Southern's Rickie Weeks tabbed for MLB All-Star Game

Southern University alumnus Rickie Weeks was picked as a starter for the American League for next week's 2011 Major League Baseball All-Star Game in Arizona.Rickie WeeksWeeks

Weeks will start at second base, joining Milwaukee Brewers' teammate Prince Fielder, who will start at first base.

Weeks becomes the 12th HBCU product to play in the MLB All Star Game, joining fellow Jaguar alumnus Lou Brock, who played in six all-star games as a member of the St. Louis Cardinals.
