
Charlotte, NC - Sunbelt Video, INC, producers of ESPN's Black College Sports Today (BCST), has hired Brad Morgan as the new producer of the show for the 1998-99 season.
Morgan served as associate producer for BCST last year under producer Sam Smith. Smith has been elevated to Director of Programming Development for Sunbelt Video.
"Brad has made some excellent strides in television production", said Smith. "Last year was Sunbelt Video's first season of presenting BCST for ESPN, and much of it's success had to go to our host Sam Crenshaw, of Greensboro, and associate producer Brad Morgan. They are very bright, creative professionals and will make an great team this year, with the viewing audience of BCST the immediate beneficiaries."
Prior to joining Sunbelt Video, Morgan served as Operations Coordinator for NBC News Channel, Charlotte, NC., which supplies news feeds to over 215 NBC affiliates. His producing talents were developed by gathering and creating feature stories for NBC News Channel for weekend shows.
A graduate of Queens College in Charlotte, Morgan received his degree in Business Administration, with a minor in Communication in May of 1993.
"Black College Sports Today" showcases Historically Black College and University sports teams with highlights, features and interviews in a 30-minute show. BCST returns to ESPN in September, and will run every Wednesday until April 1, 1999.
