Six representatives of Black College football teams will play in this year's Blue-Gray Classic All-Star Game in Montgomery, Alabama.
SWAC Defensive Player-of-the-Year Sean Woodson from Jackson State heads the list of Gray Squad players which includes teammate Richard Alvarado (LB) of Jackson State, Raleigh Roundtree (OL) of South Carolina State and Ray Nealy (RD) of Arkansas-Pine Bluff. Central State teammates Alonzo Johnson (WR) and Duante Brown (DB) will play for the Blue Team.
Woodson led the SWAC in interceptions with seven for 79 yards while picking up 43 tackles, seven pass breakups and three fumble recoveries.
Alvarado anchored a linebacking corps that took Jackson State to its second consecutive SWAC championship and NCAA playoff berth.
Roundtree is directly responsible for opening holes for S.C. State running backs and helped his team break several school rushing records this season.
APB's Nealy finished the season rushing for 828 yards in nine games. He scored 11 touchdowns and averaged 4.3 yards every time he carried the ball.
Central State's Johnson was the team's leading scorer accounting for 12 touchdowns on the season. From the wide receiver position, he caught 46 passes for 913 yards and an impressive 19.8 yards per reception.
Brown led a Marauder secondary that picked off 12 opponent passes this year.
The game will be televised at noon, Christmas Day on ABC.
