
Coppin State head volleyball and softball coach Sandy Hale has resigned effective June 30, 1998. Her resignation was accepted by athletics director Ron "Fang" Mitchell.
Hale, who came to Coppin in 1994 as head softball coach, guided the Lady Eagles to a 2-26 mark this past season and compiled a 9-140 record in five years at the school.
A native of Baltimore, Hale took over the volleyball program in 1995 and failed to win a match in three seasons as head coach, posting a 0-75 record, including a 0-32 mark this past season.
