Petersburg, VA -- Virginia State University head baseball coach Terrance Whittle has been selected by the Atlanta Braves to participate in its summer Minority Internship Program. The internship will be held August 9-17 in Orlando, Florida and will focus on player and personnel development, player evaluation, scouting and coaching.
"I am simply ecstatic and look forward to the opportunity", said the Trojan's fourth year coach. Whittle, the 1998 CIAA Coach of the Year, was one of ten selected for the internship out of a pool of 40 applicants.
