ESPNU to feature HBCU Sports Action on
MLK Holiday

In celebration of Martin Luther King, Jr.
Day, ESPNU will televise more than 24 hours
of programming featuring Historically Black
Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), with live
basketball games and a Cram Session with other
sports.
Coverage will begin Sunday, Jan. 15 when NCAA
Division II Men’s Basketball Champion
Virginia Union hosts fellow CIAA member Virginia
State live at 8 p.m., followed by a 12-hour
HBCU Cram Session from 10 p.m. to 10 a.m. Monday,
Jan. 16. Beginning at noon, the 24-hour college
sports network will air six consecutive HBCU
college basketball games.
ESPN2 will also air
an HBCU matchup featuring Bethune Cookman at
North Carolina A&T at noon on Monday:
