Shaw and Tuskegee Tennis Teams begin playoff

After winning their conference championshps and earning automatic
bids, the Shaw and Tuskegee men's and women's tennis teams
begin play in NCAA Regional Tournaments on Thursday.
Shaw captured both the CIAA Men's and Women's Tennis titles
in Petersburg, VA and both teams have drawn the same opponent
in the regionals. The Lady Bears will face the defending national
champions Armstrong Atlantic State on Thursday, May 4th at
9:00 am and the Bears will take on Armstrong Atlantic at 2:00
p.m. in Savannah, GA
The SIAC Champion Tuskegee teams will have a split trip. The
women travel to Pensacola, Fla to meet No 3 West Florida while
the men head to Valdosta, Ga to face top-seeded Valdosta State
in the South Regional play.
This will be the Shaw men's second consecutive trip to the
playoffs and the first playoff trip for the Lady Bears.
Tuskegee's teams are both making their second straight trip
to NCAA Regional play.
The regional champions will advance to the Round of 16 in
Kansas City, Mo., at the Plaza Tennis Center, May 10-13.
