UAPB Women's Basketball Coach hit with suspension
Coach gets two-game suspension for unsportsmanlike conduct

January 16, 2001

BIRMINGHAM -- The Southwestern Athletic Conference has levied a two-game suspension against University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff head women's basketball coach Kenneth Conley.

Conley, who was ejected from his team's Monday night game at Alcorn State University after receiving two technical fouls, was suspended for conduct unbecoming of a head coach in the conference. His suspension means that he cannot coach his team in the January 20 game against Texas Southern University as well as the January 22 game against Prairie View A&M University, both of which will be played in Pine Bluff, Ark. Conley also cannot be present at the game site during his suspension period.

UAPB lost Monday's game to Alcorn State, 84-50.
