| Coppin State Men Set 4X800 School Record at Penn RelaysApril 29, 2000Coppin State College set a school record in the college men's Championship of America 4x800 relay at the Penn Relays in Philadelphia. The foursome of Warren Drummond (New York/Dewitt Clinton H.S.), Beryl Harris (St. Lucia, West Indies/Vieux-Fort H.S.), Nickie Peters (St. Vincent, West Indies/St. Vincent H.S.) and Mike Curtis (Baltimore/Mervo H.S.) finished 10th with a time of 7:30.36 to better the old mark of 7:31.08. Seton Hall won the event with a time of 7:17.07, holding off runner-up Arkansas (7:17.12).It was the second straight day the Eagles broke a school record, following a new mark set on Friday by the same quartet in the distance medley.
