DURHAM, N.C. – North Carolina Central University will not renew the contract of women’s volleyball head coach Georgette Crawford-Crooks, the Department of Athletics announced Saturday (Nov. 30).
"Georgette Crawford-Crooks will no longer serve as the women's head volleyball coach effective November 30,” said NCCU Director of Athletics Dr. Ingrid Wicker-McCree. “Assistant coach Darlene Mitchell will serve as interim head coach beginning December 1. A national search will be conducted to name the next head coach."
Crawford-Crooks coached eight seasons at NCCU with an overall record of 94-175. The Eagles posted a 3-25 record during the 2013 campaign, including a 3-7 mark in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference, which was not good enough to qualify for the conference tournament.
