CHEYNEY, Pa. (cheyneywolves.com) – Cheyney University has officially removed the interim tag from Head Football Coach Chris Roulhac.cheyney logo2

Roulhac, the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Coach of the Year while leading Cheyney to the number one ranked pass defense in the conference in 1993, was the Wolves head coach from 1993-1995.

He returned to the Cheyney football program as an assistant coach in 2010, and took over the reins on an interim bases in 2015.

Interim Athletic Director Suzanne Kilian says, "Our hope is that Coach Roulhac can establish continuity in recruiting to bring in and develop highly talented and educated student-athletes into our program."

37 members of Roulhac's football team carried a 3.0 or higher GPA in the fall of 2015, while 27 members of the squad have a 3.0 or better cumulative GPA following the fall of 2015 semester.

Senior offensive lineman Michael McGlashen earned first-team All-PSAC East honors in 2015, and the third-team on the 2015 Don Hansen Football Gazette All-Super Region 1 squad.

Roulhac has over 30 years of coaching experience including stops at West Chester University, Colgate University, Dartmouth College and Temple University.
