JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Edward Waters Tigers released their 10-game football schedule for the 2016 season that includes six home games and five games against teams from The Sun Conference.edward waters logo

EWC will play its home games at Stanton College Preparatory School this season, beginning with the season opener against the Maroon Tigers of Morehouse College.

The Tigers will hit the road in back-to-back weeks to face Livingstone College on Sept. 10 in Salisbury, N.C., followed by a crosstown matchup with Jacksonville University at the Jacksonville Classic.

Edward Waters returns home on Sept. 24 for its conference opener against Point University before traveling to Lakeland, Fla. to take on Southeastern University on Oct. 1.

EWC gets three straight home matchups starting with conference foe Webber International University on Oct. 8, followed by a homecoming battle with the University of Faith on Oct. 15, and ending with another conference matchup, this time against Ave Maria University on Oct. 29.

The Tigers will close the conference schedule on the road Nov. 5 against Warner University before finishing the season at home against Virginia University at Lynchburg on Nov. 12.

Last season Edward Waters finished the season 3-7, going 1-4 in The Sun Conference.
