Eighty sports management students and entry-level athletic department administrators from all 23 MEAC and SWAC colleges and universities will attend the inaugural NFL CAREERS IN FOOTBALL FORUM at the Air Force Reserve Celebration Bowl in Atlanta, GA. The forum will provide participants with opportunities to explore potential careers in professional football administration, learn and network with industry leaders, and gain knowledge and skills for football operations positions.national football league

The career development program will include lectures and panel discussions with NFL leadership and club executives, resume' and skill-building workshops, a behind-the-scenes look into football operations at the Celebration Bowl, and the unique opportunity to work with the event operations team on gameday.

Among the speakers and presenters are Cleveland Browns Executive Vice President of Football Operations SASHI BROWN; Kansas City Chiefs Vice President of Communications TED CREWS; NFL Senior Vice President of Football Operations KIM FIELDS; Atlanta Falcons President RICH MCKAY; NFL Executive Vice President of Football Operations TROY VINCENT; Minnesota Vikings Chief Operating Officer; KEVIN WARREN; and Washington Redskins Senior Vice President of Communications TONY WYLLIE.

Program sessions include panels on career opportunities at the league and club levels, mentorship, and character development, and how to build a professional brand.

Participants were selected to attend the NFL Careers in Football Forum by their institutions’ athletics directors.

The NFL Careers in Football Forum is part of the NFL’s broader partnership with the MEAC and SWAC to increase opportunities for ethnic minorities interested in pursuing careers in professional football administration.
