After hard work on the court and showing your support in the stands, CIAA fans will get ready to head out for a night on the town.

This year, well-known performers and special guests will take over the party scenes in the Queen City.  The weekend is said to be nothing short of its previous years, especially when it comes to the list of performers taking over clubs in downtown Charlotte.2017 ciaatrn logo

Weekend events like this bring out major club and party promoters. Last year, promoter Chris E. and the Breakfast Club held what was called the sexiest day party of the tournament weekend. The Celebrity Day Party featured appearances by rapper 50 cent, and Love and Hip Hop New York’s Cardi B.

The Breakfast Club is back again this year with three floors, three DJ’s, and high expectations for another year of Day Parties. Formally known as Club Vanity, The V Charlotte will host this event Saturday, February 25  from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m.

The tournament weekday parties don’t stop there. The Extravaganza Depot will hold two day parties, one with six hours of open bar. The Chicken and Beer, Kings and Queens, and House Music Day Parties are all hosted by HBCU Alumnus, Star 23 Enterprise, and the Divine 9.

These parties are brought to new heights when big name celebrities stop by. This CIAA weekend, Laz Alonso will host a 24 Karat day party, and Tyler Lepley, best known for his role in Tyler Perry’s The Haves and the Have Nots, will host Affluence, alongside the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority.

Some celebrities will be hosting non-party events for the weekend as well. Love and Hip hop star Juju will host a “black girls write” for a literary experience for CIAA. After releasing her newest book, Juju says that this will be something you don’t want to miss.

“Get the secrets on what really went down in these pages directly from my mouth to your exclusive ears,” said Juju in an Instagram post.

The author will also hand out personalized copies of the book and goodie bags for VIP guests.

CIAA has seen celebrities from across the board. From Floyd Mayweather, Omari Hardwick, to Stevie J., Toya Wright, and Brittany Renner.

The night club scene for the weekend will showcase some of the artists who produce club bangers all year long.

The official block party takeover will feature rapper 2 Chainz for a live performance. The takeover is a weekend long event, that will also bring out rapper Plies and Blac Youngsta at club Oakroom.
