(New Orleans) For the next three years, the Allstate Sugar Bowl will be a title sponsor for Dillard University athletics. The deal between the two entities is reported to be a total of $15,000. The Allstate Sugar Bowl has been a title sponsor for Dillard University athletics since 2011.
"I am grateful to our friends at Allstate Sugar Bowl for their continued support of the Bleu Devil Classic," said Dillard University Director of Athletics Dr. Kiki Baker Barnes. "They have been a major part of the success of the Classic for the past six years and I am looking forward to our partnership for the next three years. Allstate Sugar Bowl is a leader in our community and I am glad that they chose Dillard University as a beneficiary of their generosity."
The Sugar Bowl's mission is to seek out, promote, finance, sponsor, schedule, conduct, and operate an annual calendar of local Louisiana for the purpose of generating tourism. There are over 125 individuals comprising the current membership of the Sugar Bowl Committee. These members represent the Organization on various working committees designed to carry out the Sugar Bowl's mission. The Organization's day-to-day operations are conducted in its office located in the Mercedes Benz Superdome, and are handled by a full-time staff of 11 employees.
