Bowie State made some noise in the top of the sixth inning getting two runners on base.  The Bulldogs started the inning reaching base via a Chowan miscue and moved to second on a sacrifice bunt.  A single through the left side of the infield put runners on the corners.  Robins would get the final two outs of the inning to stop the threat.

Chowan posted their final run of the contest in the bottom of the sixth inning after a lead-off single by Emily Stafford turned into a three-base effort following an error by the Bulldog outfield.  Brook Bowen brought home Stafford on a sacrifice fly to left and give the Hawks a 6-1 advantage.

The Bulldogs tried to rally in the top of the seventh loading the bases with two outs.  A walk and a bunt single sparked the rally.  Bowie State loaded the bases after a drop third strike got away from the catcher.  Chowan settled down and recorded the final out of the game on a fly out.
