stil shawn blackmonBlackmonTUSCALOOSA, Ala. - Stillman College has hired Shawn Blackmon to take over the men's and women's tennis program. Blackmon takes over for Will Riley or left this summer to be the head coach at Coppin State.

Blackmon played tennis at Stillman under Coach Riley in the mid-90's. During that time, Blackmon earned team MVP honors for the 1996 season.  He served as a volunteer assistant coach at Sipsey Valley High School in Buhl, Alabama from 2014-2015. Before that, he gave private tennis lessons in Birmingham and Tuscaloosa.

The Women's Team has won three straight conference championships, while the Men's Team has won two out of the last three SIAC championships. Coach Blackmon returns nine total starters from last year's squads.
