ORANGEBURG, SC—South Carolina State head coach Murray Garvin has announced the addition of Trevor Deloach to the men’s basketball coaching staff.Deloach
Deloach comes to SC State after spending two seasons as an assistant at Maryland-Eastern Shore in Princess Anne, MD. His primary responsibilities will include coordinating recruiting efforts, game preparation, and on-the-court training for the Bulldogs.
He brings a plethora of playing experience and has served coaching stints at respected Division I men’s basketball programs, including UMES, North Carolina-Wilmington and South Carolina.
A standout at the University of North Carolina-Wilmington, Deloach played three seasons (2009-2012) for the (mascot). As a junior, he averaged 21.2 minutes, 8.8 points, and 4.4 rebounds per game. He scored more than 20 points in three consecutive games vs. Virginia Commonwealth, Georgia State and William & Mary. Deloach was named co-CAA Player of the Week (once or twice) and scored in double figures 10 times that year.
The Saluda, SC native earned his Bachelor of Arts in Communications from UNC-Wilmington in 2012.
